It’s not allowed to start engines in the paddock. There is a separate place to test and tune your engine.
There are blue barrels in the paddock must only be used for chemical waste like oils (WD-40), brake-cleaners, old fuel or silicon oils. Do not throw cigarette stubs into these barrels.
Smoking is not allowed in the paddock. There are smoking areas. FOLLOW THESE INSTRUCTIONS!
Pre Start Preparations
Before each heat there is the possibility to start your engine in the marked area near the pit lane. These places are numbered from 1 to 12 according to your starting position. The mechanic with the car no. 1 should enter the pit lane at first to avoid collisions.
Driver Registration
Driver Registration will be on Monday afternoon (13:00 – 18:00) and Tuesday morning (09:00 – 14:00). The technical inspection takes also place at these times.
Each Teammanager comes to the registration to get an envelope with the main frequency, the number of his transponder, the radio impound number and the numbers of his car, which should be placed in each of the three windows of the car, front, left and right.
The team manager will receive a list of his country drivers. The list contains all necessary data’s. The Team manager must check every data with his drivers and return the form with all data filled in or with the amendments to the race director as soon as possible.
General Moving
For Practice, Qualifying and Finals the drivers shall be waiting on the right-hand side of the stairs (the red color stair is upstairs) on the backside of the rostrum. After the practice or qualifying the drivers shall become Marshalls immediately and leave the rostrum at the stairs (the green color stair is downstairs) on the right hand side. The mechanics give all cars after every heat to the technical inspection. At practice and qualifying the driver must always stay on his place(number) at the rostrum. Only in the Main-Final drivers can choose their places in order of the ranking list for the Final (first #1, second #2, …).
All transmitters must always be left at the rostrum. During the race it is not allowed to go down the rostrum with the radio. DSM transmitter users can not call for frequency problems.
Practice
There are four rounds of practice. 1st round 10 minutes duration, second one 15 minutes duration and only the 3rd and 4th practice will count for reseeding. These rounds will be of 10 minutes duration with the last 5 minutes timed. The best 3 consecutive laps inside those last 5 minutes or the complete 5 minutes will be used for reseeding purposes. Results of the timed practices will be published.
Technical Inspection
During Monday and Tuesday all drivers must pass the pre-technical inspection. The drivers must take their cars to the technical inspection and the chassis will be marked.
Immediately after the qualifying and final rounds all cars must be given to the technical inspection with the fuel bottle.
Qualification
Starting procedure: the race director opens the track. Automatically after 3 minutes, the computer gives the flying start horn, announcing before 3 minutes, 2 minutes, 1 minute and 30 seconds to the start.
Only when the time keeper advises, for example, “car #5 finished” car #5 must shortcut the round at the marked place at the track, should avoid interfering with the still racing cars and then finishing his round. It’s not allowed to drive an additional round on the track. The mechanics collect their cars and go directly to the technical inspection. It is not allowed to dismount anything or make any other preparation before.
Deliberate stops waiting for the start signal at the track and cutting the track to find a better position in it are infringements to be penalized with a stop and go penalty.
Marshalling
Drivers become Marshalls when they finish the heat. Drivers must go to the marked places on the track. The positions are clearly marked. Reflective vests are compulsory to wear.
If the driver is not in place for marshalling at least 1 minute before the start of the next heat, he will lose his best result. The drivers of the last heat will be the Marshalls for the first heat (see table on the result board).
All Marshalls remain on their place until the next Marshall is there! All marshals must wear safe and sensible footwear that will not become detached when performing marshalling duties. (Sandals are not acceptable)
Finals
Finals will be started on Friday afternoon and will be continued on Saturday.
The starting system is Le Mans system. After the Race director opens the track there will be some warm up laps. The race director calls all cars to the pit lane one minute before the start. After all cars are in the pit lane and with the authorization of the race director only 1 mechanic carries the car to the starting position on the main straight. The left rear wheel of the car must touch the curb at the marked starting position. The start signal will be given with a flag or a horn signal.
A 10 minutes Time-out can only be asked at semifinals and the final; not in any other subfinal.
Between the second semi final and the main final the organizer will start the Over 40 final. The best 12 seniors in the final Qualification list, which are not qualified for the semifinals, are welcome to start in this separate final.
